The Postmaster General and Chief Executive Officer, Megan J. Brennan, announced internally that Dennis R. Nicoski will be detailed to the position of Senior Vice President of Sales and Customer Relations, effective March 3. Here is an excerpt of the announcement:
Dennis began his postal career in Minneapolis in 1984. Since then he has developed functional expertise in marketing, sales, customer service, retail, and operations support that will serve him well in this challenging assignment.
Dennis currently serves as the Director of Field Sales Strategy and Contracts, where he oversees the development of customized mailing and shipping solutions for our largest mailers and shippers, and coordinates Postal Regulatory Commission approval of Negotiated Service Agreements.
Dennis replaces Cliff Rucker, who announced his retirement effective March 2, 2018.

Postal officials are suspending operations at the Milan Post Office, located at 3800 Colley Ave, Norfolk VA, 23508 effective February 26, 2018. All operations will be moved to the Norfolk Main Post Office located at 600 Church Street, Norfolk VA, 23501.
Milan customers can conduct all retail transactions (including passports) and pick up their P.O. box mail at the Norfolk Main Post Office between the hours of 8:30 a.m. – 5 p.m. (M – F).
Milan Drop Shipments from our mailers should be taken to the Delivery Unit at the Norfolk Main Post office.
Delivery operations will not be impacted.

Customers should pick up their mail at alternate pickup location, Meadville 39653 between the hours of 8 a.m. – 11:30 a.m., 12:30 p.m. – 4 p.m. (M-F) and 7 a.m. – 8:45 a.m. (Sat).
Northeast Area – Hurricane Maria Update – Caribbean District
(Puerto Rico and U.S. Virgin Islands)

The Northeast Area and Caribbean District are reporting the following recovery efforts to the impacts of Hurricane Maria:
The San Juan P&DC and Catano DMDU Annex are accepting FAST appointments. DDU drop shipments are being accepted in all offices open for retail, mail pickup and mail delivery services.
The Caribbean District is accepting Priority Mail Express for Puerto Rico and Virgin Islands with normal service guarantees. The suspension of the shipment of LIVE animals to Puerto Rico and Virgin Islands has been lifted.
All incoming mail service is available in Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands. All customers are receiving mail through pickup at Post Offices or via delivery.
Customers served by the following offices should pick up their mail at alternate pickup locations during regular retail hours:
• Punta Santiago, 00741 — Alternate location: Humaco, 00791.
• Toa Alta, 00953 — Alternate location: Toa Baja Pueblo, 00951
Santa Isabel (36 Calle Luis Munoz Rivera, 00757) resumed on-site post office box service and pickup of oversized or accountable mail from attempted deliveries. A mobile unit remains at the facility to support retail service.
The following office is open for P.O. Box mail and package pickup (no retail services) during regular retail hours.
